How ready are you for an AI role?

Ten questions across direction, skills, evidence, and interviews. Your score appears instantly, with the next step for every gap. Your answers stay in your browser.

The check

Answer for where you are today.

Partly is a fine answer. You get a next step for every gap, so an honest answer gives you a more useful plan.

  1. 01 Can you name one AI role you are aiming for?
  2. 02 Have you read five or more job postings for that role?
  3. 03 Do you use AI tools in your work at least weekly?
  4. 04 Could you explain how you would check whether an AI output is correct?
  5. 05 Do you have the core technical skill your target role asks for?
  6. 06 Have you built or shipped something with AI that you can show?
  7. 07 Does your résumé describe your AI work with results?
  8. 08 Does your online profile match the role you want?
  9. 09 Can you explain your move into AI in two sentences?
  10. 10 Have you practiced an interview for an AI role in the last month?

Answer all ten questions. Your answers stay in your browser.

How the score works

Ten questions across four areas: direction, skills, evidence, and interviews. Yes scores 2, Partly scores 1, and No scores 0, for a total out of 20.

16–20 Ready to apply
You have direction, skills, and evidence. Focus on interviews and on reaching the people hiring.
10–15 Close
The foundation is there. One or two gaps, usually evidence or interview practice, stand between you and strong applications.
0–9 Building
Start with direction: one target role. Then build the skill and the evidence it asks for, in that order.

The check is a starting point, not a test. It cannot see your actual work, and a hiring team will judge differently for each role.

Your next actions list every No first, then every Partly, in question order.

After your score

What usually comes next.

  • No target role yet: read the AI career paths and pick one to aim for
  • A role, but no evidence: one coached portfolio project fills the gap
  • Evidence, but a résumé that hides it: get it graded free, then rebuild it where hiring teams look
  • Interviews booked: coaching includes two scored mock interviews before they count
  • Unsure about all of it: ask a coach in a free 15-minute call
